God

People all around the globe have different concepts, ideas, beliefs on God.Some may even doesn’t believe in God.God is only an institution for some.Even my most intelligent Google assistant gave me a diplomatic answer when I asked about God.It replied,’Religion can be complicated and I’m still learning it’.Maybe Google itself is afraid of commenting on a fragile term God.

I look forward to quality rather than quantity.I simply cannot post anything on my blog unless I trip over some interesting topic. And past days I have been rummaging through my brain for a fresh topic. And lo God himself appeared before me.Its a complicated and sensitive topic. Each geographic areas might have thousands of belief systems. Some believe in Hinduism,Christianity,Islamism,Jainism,Buddhism,Sikhism,Judaism,Shintoism,Universalism and the isms are infinite. And the opposite side some are atheist, agnostic, apatheist. And each have their own reasons for it.

I personally am a believer in God.Even though I am a Hindu, I equally believe and respect all other religions. Many of the riots and quarrels on religion are just futile. Those who go behind quarreling for their religion, at some point of times conveniently forgets that the Gods in all religions say the same thing.I think Gods in each and every religion asks its followers to be compassionate to their fellow beings, the essence is the same.God is a framework for us to build our hopes, dreams and aspirations.He/She is the one who motivates us when no one is their for us.

Many atheists believe only in proof or scientific evidence.Or we come across once-believers-now-turned-atheist due to harsh experience in life.I have heard people telling that they lost hope in God just because, even though their deeds were good but in return only got bad experience.I think they have totally misinterpreted the concept of God.God is the one who stays with you in the thick and thin and not the one who solves the issues even before you face it.All the people in this earth are born-fighters.Our birth itself is a task or a ticket to our entry to either paradise or purgatory or hell (I am sorry to those who doesn’t believe in them😁).And those who are believers have never seen or experienced the so-called real God,but through men and women God works miracle in our lives. For a hungry man, those who give food is his God.By understanding someone’s needs and helping them, we too become God in someone’s life. There are and will always be scientific questions that cannot be answered,I call it God.And also God is basically a book but covered with different book covers,by different religions. When you peel of this cover of religion you can surely see God in his/her pure form.

I am eagerly waiting to hear your views on God,whether you believe him/her or not and why.

  3. Thank you for speaking to this topic. As it happens, I was for many years an atheist before returning to faith. Christians like myself believe that Christ was the only begotten Son of God, and died to restore the relationship between God and man. ❤

I want you to know milady Malavika, that I truly know this. I trust my feeling that there is only one Diety among all pantheons of gods and goddesses. When I believed this in my heart, I had that concept that all religions stemmed from the supreme empyrian order then it branched out to all sections of the known world. In short, religion is a human construct, yet to have a relationship with God the father, we are to listen first to his son.

  5. My God is an exclusive one…of love, mercy, hope unseen and yet believed in…a god Who desires relationship to grow between him and his Creation—us! Going by fallible human feelings and certainties of the inner self–in my opinion—is not enough. I believe in Jesus Christ, who became man—even though he was part of God—to purchase our souls and fulfill the laws and prophesies of the hebrews—God’s people so chosen by him. As we non-Jews came become through faith in Christ and his sacrifice and coming to life again. For many of we Christians…it is growing in relationship to God where blessing and salvation lies. You’ve doubtless heard much of this before….

No god for me. Human neurology is a galaxy of complications in itself. Spiritual experiences can be duplicated in a lab, and neuroscience is finding the complexity of the human brain is filling in the gaps when things don’t make sense. Filling it with astral projections, chemical responses in the brain crossfire and cross wires it times of stress and relief and science is explaining away these experiences bit by bit. Humans are an impatient bunch and want explanations in the now, but slowly as time goes by these explanations come. Has a supernatural explanation has ever supplanted a scientific one? Ever? No, and as we now have explanations for the weather, earthquakes, origins of living things, we will find when it’s all said and done that the gods people seek is an anticlimactic, but pretty awesome us. We have the power to chart our own way, which is evidenced also in the number of gods who have fixed nothing. We always do all the work then the gods get the credit, but it has been us all along. Wonderful thought provoking post. Thanks

    1. Thank you so much for sharing your views.I support that science sooner will give explanations for many experiences but at the same time some scientific things are later proved wrong or maybe modified. And humans can never get rid of curiosity or thirst for more explanations. So newer and complicated challenges would be posed and we go behind them to find an explanation for that. And God will always be a complicated topic. Its a solace and refuge for many people. Just shared my thoughts.
And it was just awesome to read your comment,I was really excited to view a different opinion. Thanks a lot. 😃

Nice to meet you and thank you for the kind response. I would offer a slight correction to your response. It is said quite often that science is later proved wrong or modified, but it is actually a move toward a better, more improved and truthful model. Bad ideas die off while truth continues to grow. Did you know that Einstein general theory was proven just last month, but the principles of his theory have already been in use, accomplishing the ideas before a complete understanding of the models? This is why it stuck around for so long, not because of who he was, but because the theory had practical traction. Now we can actually view gravitational waves in space creating ripples and distortions in space-time. For a hundred years religion has said we have too much “faith” in science, but not true. That science took us to the moon, and then Voyager 1, sending pictures and data from beyond our solar system, and others are following, better, faster, smarter, all the while religion accuses science of faith. I’d say not so fast. These things take time and willpower. But they’re coming. ✔️

  10. Hi Malavika, the subject of your post could open debates across the world. I think a lot of people believe in religion thinking that’s god. A lot believe in a god no matter which form god takes in their life but not in a religion. I don’t follow any religious believes but I believe there is good in all beings. Has long has a person respects another’s believes and leaves them in peace with their god or religion. This world we all share might be a little better for all beings. This is just my view, may your god be with you.

  11. Blessings of peace to you sister!

Yes, I believe in God with all of my heart! When I was 13, my Dad got a new job in Illinois. We moved from Colorado and the house we moved in to was possessed by a demon! We lived with that evil all through my high school years. It was terrifying and yes, heaven and hell are very real. We were delivered from that demon when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! I rebuked it out of our home and our lives in the Name of Jesus and we never had any more problems after that!

I accepted Christ in 1996. In 1998, I had two angel encounters in the city of Denver, Colorado (USA), and in 2012 I stopped breathing due to anaphylactic shock, but God saved me by the power of the Holy Spirit and put me back in my body! I wrote a book about all of this, which is published on Amazon, called “One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life.” I email free copies of my eBook to anyone who wants one!

I just wrote about the day I stopped breathing and came back to life in a post titled “My Lazarus Moment.”

I used to hate Christians and I did not want anything to do with God. I used to party and drink heavily, but the Lord Jesus rescued me from all of that!

Grace and peace to you! May God bless you and reveal Himself to you in new and mighty ways!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
    Romans 10:9

I do believe in God simply because I’ve personally experienced his love and goodness. Just observing his beautiful creations allows us a peak into his love for us. I’ve been strengthened when going through hard times and helped to endure until things improved. And I’m grateful for the hope we have in the future for a world free of violence, wickedness and sickness which will be brought about through God’s Kingdom. We have so much to be thankful for that we take for granted everyday.

Good writing dear Malavika 😊 God is the present in the heart of all beings.. while we get help and when we give help, it’s God who gives and God who recieved it. In good, bad, in beautiful, in ugly, in everything god is there. To those who believe, presence of God will be felt throughout life in all times. Even if someone doesn’t believe in God, but helps other fellow beings and show love and care, it is God who works through that person, it doesn’t matter whether that person believes it or not. May you experience lord’s presence always in ur life 😊

Just because i was taught that my god is the one and no other gods are real…that doesnt make sence…if i was hindu or muslim its the same what i will learn.

So i like to think as there is only one supreme power….thats nature…you come from it…you go into it…you are part of it…
You take care of nature…it will take care of you…you fuck the nature….it will fuck you back….its a ripple of what you give …it might take time..but definitely it will come back…thats what you call as the power of lord….which i call is what you deserve….

God is just a term to make money for some people …if you belive and wish for something and you work for it….one day you will get it… So thats the positive vibe you sent to the nature and that wibe has returned toyou as multiple ripples which is interpreted as gift from god or blessing…

    And about relegion….
    Thats pure business…

“There are and will always be scientific questions that cannot be answered,I call it God.” I think this is the origin of god, since humankind. The easy answer for everything unthinkable.
And people who quarrel about religion, and that every religion tells the same thing about loving thy neighbor, we have the religious institutions that have been obstructing and selectively permeating few, sensitive points for it’s survival and flourishing. And much of us learn religion through them, not on our own.
Regarding atheists who believe in proofs, I love this quote by Heisenberg: “The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you.”
Regarding religions, I don’t believe in God’s described by books that asks to worship him, cuz I dont believe in a god playing politics.
My favorite question is not who/what is god, but where did he/it emerge from…

You wrote an interesting post. Existence of God is not a belief it can proven through experiment in life. Hindus call such experiment “sadhana” or penance. Swami Vivekananda when he was a seeker Narendra Nath asked Sri Rama Krishna, “have you seen God”? Master said not only I have seen him, I can show you too. That is how experiment works. What you do in your lab, must be reproducible in my set up.
